one of my desert island dead discs for sure. excellent comes a time, brown eyed women, peggy-o, and h>s>f. the h>s>f is one of the best imo.

Can't say I've listened to 5-9-77 recently - however here is something to lighten the mood

Which leads me to question: What is your favorite cover by a cartoon character?

Word is that whenever Eric Cartman hears the first notes to Come Sail Away he has to sing the whole song . . .
5-9-77 - just finished the Bertha - pretty smokin' version - I've always enjoyed Bertha.

Hey Nag, I like your posts and I don't have a problem with them or how you express yourself. It's just YOU, no biggy. That indicated thread was pretty funny.

I've had 5.9.77 in my mp3 player for a couple of weeks now and I can't seem to find the energy to delete it and replace it with something else. My player is only a gig and I'm constantly shuffling different shows (and different artists) in and out of my player. But I can't seem to delete 5.9.77. It's a natural "go-to" and it beats the extremely overrated 5.8.77 hands down!

05-09-1977 is fantastic...maybe one of the most undervalued shows in the sense that everyone picks 05-08 as the best show mostly of 77 or they go to 02-26, 09-03, 06-09, 11-05 or 10-29 or any number of the other May shows like 05-21 and 05-25...it slips through the cracks every time...

OVERRATED ! The Bertha is WAY too slow...the H/S/F doesn't hold a candle to the version 1 month later (6/9/77), and overall it's a show that would never make it into my rotation.

Then again, I believe that for more advanced GD, especially Jerry, turn to the Brent era.

I still listen to this show on the original tapes I've had for 18 years. H>S>F in set 1 & ALL of 2nd set are among my fav GD performances.

I'd take your rain & enjoy it thoroughly if you really could send it our way---it's kinda dry here in my part of the east coast.

Yes Lobster, you got that right. Killer Comes a Time. Jerry pours spills his soul in that version.
